2 Single Horns with 3 périnet valves "model 412"
V.C. Mahillon à Bruxelles, ca 1900

The model 412 figures in Mahillon's catalogues from appr. 1880 until the first world war. It was slightly more expensive than the classic 499 model. Legato is a lot smoother then on the 499, and it's design, with asymmetric tuning slide is also more elegant. One can see on the first picture that the silver (more recent) horn has a slightly different bell flare than the older one at the right. This shows that horns could differ between production years, even if the same models were produced for a long period of time.
