Compensating Double Horn
Bermond, Liège ca 1970

On this completely crap compensating horn of the late 1960's I played my first notes, back in 1985, in the class of Ignace Vanderschaeghen at the second floor of the Tielt city music school. After 3 years of wrist pain (note the hand position on the picture from 1986 below) it was happily replaced by investment of my holy communion pocket money in a second hand Yamaha 667.
The instrument was sold from the musical reserves of the school in the 1990's, and given to me by a fine colleague on the attention of my wedding. Despite the instrument being one of the worst ever produced, I have great memories of it.
